Metal Detectors Used on The Curse of Oak Island

The show Curse of Oak Island has been chugging along for several years now.  The brothers Marty and Rick Lagina have been featured on the History channel since 2014 and have yet to unearth any real treasure.  They, and their metal detection cohort Gary Drayton have, however, unearthed some really interesting finds using metal detectors.

Mine Lab Equinox 800 Metal Detector Does Not Stop Producing Good Finds for Kansas City Metal Detectorist. Nor does he.

Mike H. from Kansas has been a very busy metal detectorist .  Just before Christmas of this year he had been doubling down.  Here is Mike's most recent story about his metal detector finds:

"I had to share my latest finds as I cannot believe the luck I've had. A few days before Christmas, I went to a new permission in a field. My second target was a 1940 Mercury dime. I then proceeded to find several more modern coins until I found a 1947 wheat cent. As I wondered if there was any older coins to be found I could not believe what I dug shortly after. I dug my second 2-cent piece! it was a 1864 and my second ever in just a few weeks! A little later I found an 1897 Indian Head. Overall I found several interesting items in what turned out to be an excellent permission. And I still have lots of area to cover there. Looking forward to getting back out there."

Our friend Mike H. from Kansas is at it again.  This time, he is hunting new and old permissions and they are turning up some really cool finds.  Here is Mike's latest finds submission story:

"Went to a park in a nearby town and scored a 1936 Winged Liberty "Mercury" dime. On the way home I decided to stop at a new permission I had only hunted lightly once. It is a bean field that once had a homestead on it in the late 1800's into the mid 1900's. I am glad I did I found a bucket lister, an 1865 2-cent piece! So happy I stopped!"
