Metal Detectorist Finds Mother's Silver Monogrammed Ring 50 Years Later

Mark F. from South Carolina was recently using his Fisher F19 Metal Detector while searching his grandmother's yard. He stumbled across a really great find only to find out it had more sentimental value than he initially expected. Mark says of his hunt:
"While detecting at my grandmas house I found a small children's ring. Sterling with monogrammed initials. Upon closer inspection they were my mothers initials. I had found a ring my mother had lost as a child there around 50 yrs ago! She was super happy to have the ring back."
What a wonderful story to hear. You just never know what you may come across when metal detecting. We hear tons of stories where someone finds a ring metal detecting. It is certainly rare that that ring belongs to a loved one.
