Advanced FBS 2 Detection Technology
FBS 2 combines multiple-frequency transmission with coil-to-detector communication to provide dependable target detection across changing ground conditions. Its broad 1.5–100 kHz transmission range helps the CTX 3030 respond to targets with different sizes and conductivities.
Smartfind 2 Target Identification
Smartfind 2 analyzes targets using both ferrous and conductivity properties. Its two-dimensional color discrimination display helps identify desirable finds and reject unwanted targets. Integrated GPS and Detecting Records

Use and Waterproofing Notes
Confirm that all battery seals, connections, and waterproof components are clean, correctly installed, and securely closed before entering the water. Rinse the detector and search coil with fresh water after saltwater use, then dry them before storage or charging.
The CTX 3030 detector and standard coil are waterproof to 10 feet. The supplied WM 10 wireless module and Koss UR-30 headphones are not waterproof and must not be submerged. Use only compatible waterproof Minelab headphones when detecting underwater.

Minelab CTX 3030 from High Plains Prospectors.
A while back I contacted High Plains Prospectors to inquire about the Minelab CTX 3030. I was very hesitant due to the price of the 3030 but ended up deciding to go for it. First of all the customer service was excellent, Drew with High Plains Prospectors reached out to me and answered my questions quickly. And provided a customer service experience like it should be, and how it was in the past, highly impressed and I will continue to do business with them for that reason.
Shipping was fast and well packaged.
As for the CTX 3030, I absolutely love it, and while I have a ways to go to get full benefit out of it, I do not think it is to much for a beginner as I had read from some of the reviews. I think it is a great machine that will take even experienced operators I little time to master but in no way do I think it’s too much for an amateur.
