I received the Manticore in about a week, much quicker than I expected. Going from the MineLab 540 to the Manticore has been a huge learning curve which is why I subtracted a star. My muscle memory, both hand & brain, are still learning all the new options. I definitely enjoy the use of the USB to charge the machine and find the headphones pair much better. I also like the compact size, providing an opportunity to carry it easier. I’m looking forward to the availability of a smaller coil, hopefully coming soon. Once I learn all the bells and whistles I will be set for life.

I like this machine. I have used it about 9 or 10 times. I have found around $20 dollars an five rings so far. Just have to figure it out a little better. So far I like the manicore.

Recently received my Manticore. HPP did a great job of keeping me informed as to the status of my pre-order. I have purchased several metal detectors from these guys without any issues whatsoever. They ship very fast. Will continue to get all my metal detecting equipment from High Plains Prospectors!

High plains prospectors did everything they could for their customers. The machine is very good but the screen is very hard to see on a sunny day on the beach. Minelab screwed their dealers and pre paid customers to take care of the big box stores. Very bad marketing. The folks at High Plains prospectors were tremendous.

So I got my . Manticore a couple weeks ago . After a very long wait . All due to minelab roll out being under supported .. high plains kept me informed weekly and was very supportive. The actual machine came and as of now have hunted with it about 4 times . And am very impressed . Hunting in areas already dug before I have found many things I missed. It takes a bit getting used to and is very sensitive . I would rate the detector a 10/10 on function. 7/10 on ease of use .
High plains gets 12/10 on customer service.
Minelab gets 4/10 on customer service . Due to receiving no call back from them when trying to get info
Overall I am very happy with my purchase .
It is definitely a machine for a more invested or professional detectorist.
