The GOLD MONSTER 1000 features fully automatic operation and comes with a choice of coils, battery options and shaft configurations. If you're looking for super sensitive gold performance at a great price, then this is the detector you've been waiting for!
Up until now, there has always been a compromise between frequency and sensitivity when optimizing detector performance, because lower frequencies are more sensitive to larger gold nuggets and higher frequencies are more sensitive to smaller gold nuggets. When comparing detectors, the three curves in the diagram represent each detector’s ability to find small gold nuggets of a certain size, at a maximum possible depth. Most detectors will find a very large nugget just beneath the surface, however a detector’s sensitivity to gold determines how many smaller nuggets will ultimately be recovered in difficult (noisy) ground at greater depths.
An 18 kHz detector will normally have a depth advantage on nuggets ≥ 1.0g over a basic mid-frequency detector, and a 71 kHz detector will have a depth advantage on nuggets ≤ 0.1g. The advanced GOLD MONSTER 1000 uses an intermediate 45 kHz frequency AND a high speed 24-bit signal processor. This primary combination greatly boosts sensitivity to gold beyond that of other single frequency VLF detectors over a wide range of nugget sizes, without introducing excess noise and false signals.
The GOLD MONSTER 1000 also has improved ferrous/non-ferrous discrimination and copes better with conductive (salty) soils than higher frequency detectors, making it the perfect choice to maximize your gold recovery!
GOLD MONSTER 1000 outperforms all other single frequency VLF gold detectors! Detector sensitivity comparisons are representative only. Actual performance will depend upon nugget size, detector settings and ground conditions.
"I found my first nugget within an hour; funnily enough it was in a detector scrape from previous excursions. All up I found many pieces of gold, the deepest being 3 inches in variable hot ground."
Jonathan Porter - Professional Gold Prospector, Australia- “I was able to find nine small nuggets (flakes) so easily that it was a bit surprising! Total weight of all nine is 7.8 grains. None were deep, maybe 3–4 cm at most. Just enough however to be just out of reach of the SDC and too small for the GPZ.”

The detector arrive very fast. It was here in time to go on a gold hunting trip to Nevada.
Before the way-superior MineLab Gold Monster 1000 there was the Gold Bug 2.
My GB2 was stolen out of a secure storage facility (I've had this unit 10 years without any other trouble) without any clue what-so-ever. 6 months later a GB2 shows up at a pawn shop less than a mile from storage. Unlike the Gold Monster, a GB2 hasn't any serial numbers and I hadn't put any exclusive ID marks nor numbers upon it like the 17 symbols & numbers to positively identify this as being MY MineLab prospecting metal detector ( in addition to the holographic serial #'s on the control box & each of the 2 coils). I much happier to have the better equipment now, possible only through learning the hard way.
Pix & successful operation bragging to follow shortly.
Til then, LOVE - PEACE - & HAPPINESS!
We recently purchased some land with a small creek on it. My husband thought I needed a new detector since my White Coinmaster 5000/D is 40 yrs old (but still works good). After much research, we decided on Minelab's Gold Monster 1000. We were very pleased with how quickly it arrived! It is easy to assemble, operate, and carry. It comes with two waterproof coils. Awesome! After watching many Yt videos, we took it to the proprty. I discovered that I needed to watch them again only because I wasn't expecting a carpet of "hot rocks" and couldn't remember how to cancel the noise. I found no gold that trip because of the rocks but had fun starting the adventure and learning process. It's a gold mining area so there is gold near by. I hope to find some but if not, I'll have the "fun of the hunt" cleaning up old metal on 40 acres. Thank you for a well built detector and for hours of entertainment as my Minelab and I become best friends.

Its still in box, havent had time to open it yet....sorry
