I have only tried it once for two hours so far. I did find a couple quarters that the other coils missed. But I needed to switch to the 6 inch coil after I dug a large hole, to locate the coin.
Was on the fence about the 15 inch coil. Hurt a lot of open parks and was worried about target separation. Coil was amazing. Iffy signals at 6 plus inches came in clear and solid. Good target separation on shallow coin spills. Pin pointing was a challenge but swing out the target and digging at top of coil got me on target. A must. You won’t regret it.
As with other Minelab products, I have purchased from High Plains Prospectors, I am very happy with the purchase. The coil has great depth and sensitivity and target id has been very consistent.
I have been testing this coil pretty much exclusively for the last month test Garden, nail test, coins on edge, you name it I did it and this is a great coil. It did much more than I was expecting you don't lose hardly anything on small targets I've tested this on Silver the size of stud earrings what you gain is about 5 to 20% more depth and I would say 20 to 30% more coverage per back-and-forth sweep. The weight of this coil is actually not that bad about 20% more than the stock coil. Not the ideal choice for heavy trash areas *BUT* I can say if you do find yourself in one you are not going to be hindered by this coil either like you maybe with some other large coiled this thing still has the ability to pick through trash Like A Champion. Overall I would definitely recommend this coil as an essential part of your Equinox Arsenal and I don't think there's a better place to pick one up than High Plains Prospectors
They had actually used the same coil just the week before and provided a good review
