Product Information

Just when you thought your metal detector couldn't get any lighter, Detect-Ed introduces the Black LS Carbon Upper and Lower Shafts.

The Land & Sea Carbon Shaft is designed to replace the upper, middle and lower sections of the stock Minelab Equinox shaft. This carbon fiber rod eliminates any wobble associated with connections and multiple pieces.  The carbon fiber gives the Equinox the backbone to swing the detector without flex allowing you to sweep your coil through tall grasses, water and other rugged environments.

This Land & Sea Carbon Shaft allows for water to drain quickly when using in and out of water. 

Includes pre-drilled holes for arm cuff and hand grip on the head unit. Includes a swivel turn and lock lever system.  Includes stainless steel screws and bolts and a hex key for tightening. This sleek design allows for tightening the lower rod down to eliminate any twist or wobble.

    My 2nd Detect-Ed shaft

    As an active metal detector, I use my units multiple times a week in dirt and beach. A carbon shaft is an essential addition and since I added a 600 as a backup to my 800, needed to upgrade it also. I re-chose the DE shaft and metal cuff once I broke the plastic cuff.
    Detect-Ed is a bit pricey but worth it as it has worked very well when I upgraded my 800 last year. Great product, rugged and reliable.

    Very fast service. I was afraid that the Red upper and lower Detect-Ed shafts I was ordering would be out of stock. EVERY other company I tried was Back ordered. I figured since this company showed "IN STOCK" that it was a bait. That I would order it then a few days later get an email saying backordered and it would be a PITA since they had my $$ already. Been there b4 w/other sites. NOPE!.. They actually had it and sent it quickly. Pleasantly surprised. Thanks High Plains~~
