The Big Orange magnet is a must for picking up magnetic black sand from your gold prospecting concentrates from your gold pan, dredge, or drywasher. Works wet or dry. Push the plunger down to engage the magnet and pick up pick up magnetic black sands, release the plunger to release the sand. Ergonomic handle for ease of use.
Big Orange is so much easier to use than my homemade magnet for picking up the black sand. It wouldn't hurt if it was a bit stronger but I love it. So easy to use.

A Must Have
If you do a lot of gold hunting, you will appreciate what this magnet can do for you dealing with the black sand. It saves you a lot of time from trying to separate the sand any other way. Unless you have a machine that separates the sand for you.
