Care and Use

For progressive classification, arrange the screens from the coarsest mesh at the top to the finest mesh at the bottom. Avoid overloading the stack, and process smaller batches when working with heavy gravel.

Rinse each screen after use and remove any particles trapped in the mesh. Allow the classifiers to dry completely before stacking and storing. Wear gloves and eye protection when handling sharp rocks, metal fragments, or dusty material.

Important Information

Mesh number describes screen count and should not be interpreted as a direct fractional-inch opening measurement. Actual openings are affected by wire diameter and screen construction. Gold, gemstones, paydirt, buckets, pans, and other recovery equipment are not included.
