The Royal 54" Dredge Ready Hopper High Banker is a versatile gold recovery system that can be configured for stream sluicing, highbanking, or dredging. Built around Royal’s 10-inch-wide sluice box, this complete kit includes an ultra-wide flare, highbanker hopper, dual spray bars, riffle system, matting, expanded metal, adjustable stand, and carrying handle.
The sluice body measures approximately 36 inches long and 10 inches wide. With the ultra-wide flare attached, the complete sluice length is approximately 54 inches. Use the flare and sluice directly in a creek or stream, or install the included hopper and stand to create a powered highbanker.
The hopper is also prepared to accept an optional 2-inch dredge adapter, allowing the system to be converted for suction dredging. The dredge adapter, water pump, hoses, and dredging components are sold separately.

This Royal system gives prospectors multiple ways to process gold-bearing material without purchasing a separate sluice box, highbanker, and dredge sluice.
Use the sluice and flare in naturally flowing water, install the hopper and pump for highbanking away from the stream, or add the optional dredge adapter and necessary dredging equipment to create a dredge-ready recovery system.
The 10-inch-wide sluice provides a substantial recovery area, while the highbanker hopper’s adjustable grizzly and dual spray bars help classify and wash material before it enters the sluice.
✔ Three prospecting configurations in one system
✔ Wide sluice box handles substantial material flow
✔ Oversized hopper simplifies material feeding
✔ Dual spray bars wash material from both sides
✔ Adjustable grizzly accommodates clay, gravel, and mixed material
✔ Ball valve provides control over incoming water
✔ Hungarian riffles and expanded metal create multiple recovery zones
✔ Quick-release stand makes setup and breakdown easier
✔ Dredge-ready design allows future system expansion

The top of the highbanker hopper measures approximately 17-1/2" x 17-1/2", providing a generous feeding area for shoveling gold-bearing gravel into the system.
Dual adjustable and removable spray bars direct water across the material to help break apart dirt, wash rocks, and move smaller gold-bearing material through the classification area.
An adjustable ball valve allows the operator to control the water supply entering the hopper.
The removable zinc-plated steel grizzly can be positioned at three different angles to accommodate changing material conditions.
Use a steeper grizzly position for loose gravel and a different angle for material containing more clay or compacted dirt. Oversized rocks roll away while smaller material and gold pass through the classification area and into the sluice.
A 10" x 10-3/4" stainless-steel perforated plate protects the removable deep-ribbed rubber matting located underneath it.
After material passes through the hopper, it enters the 10-inch-wide sluice and travels across several recovery surfaces.
The system includes:
Deep-ribbed rubber matting
Indoor/outdoor carpet
Expanded metal
Hungarian riffles
These components create multiple opportunities for gold to settle while lighter sand, gravel, and waste material continue through the sluice.
Remove the hopper and use the ultra-wide flare to direct natural creek or stream flow through the sluice box.
Mount the hopper over the sluice and connect a compatible water pump and hose to the removable 1-1/2-inch barbed fitting.
Install an optional 2-inch dredge adapter and the necessary suction-dredging equipment to convert the hopper for dredging.
The 2-inch dredge adapter is sold separately.

Before operation, place the stand on stable ground and level the sluice from side to side. Set the sluice angle and water flow so lighter material clears the riffles without washing away the heavier concentrates.
Adjust the grizzly angle, spray bars, ball valve, and material feed rate to match the type of gravel being processed. Clay-rich material may require additional spray pressure and slower feeding, while loose gravel may process more quickly.
Regularly inspect the riffles and matting during operation. If the recovery areas become overloaded, reduce the feed rate or increase water flow as needed.
Always follow local, state, and federal regulations governing motorized prospecting, highbanking, and suction dredging.
