The 23" Pay Streak Finder is a portable fluid bed gold trap made for prospectors who hike into a stream and want to work promising material. Flowing water moves sand and small gravel through its capture tray, where heavier material can settle—without traditional riffles, carpet, or matting.
Its clear polycarbonate body lets you watch the fluid bed in action and adjust the setup to the stream’s flow. When you’re ready to check your concentrates, the removable capture tray slides out for a cleanout without lifting and resetting the entire unit.
The Pay Streak Finder is easier to pack into a prospecting spot than the larger 36" River Bed Hog. Choose the River Bed Hog when a higher feed rate is the priority.

Gold recovery depends on stream flow, setup, feed rate, and the material being processed.
Unlike traditional sluice boxes, the fluid bed sluice does not use a set of riffles, matting, or carpet to capture gold. Instead, they use a fluid bed of water, sand, and small pebbles in a collection tray that is cast into the sluice to trap gold.
This version of a fluid bed sluice is a step above the rest. Constructed of clear polycarbonate (the same stuff bullet proof glass is made of), this stuff is virtually indestructible. Unlike most fluid bed sluices where you have to remove the entire box from the stream, the EZ Cleanout Pay Streak Finder has a patented Removable Capture Tray which allows for a very quick clean out. It also eliminates the need to lift the whole unit out of the water, saving valuable time re-setting up. Superb fluid dynamics throughout the entire Capture Tray means that it can and will sink the gold. And, with the proper set up and feed rate, it will stay there.
Fine tuned to capture fine flour gold down to -300 microns. You won't miss a fleck of gold if your box is tuned in right. The creator of this sluice has coined the term, "Clear = Confidence." By having a clear sluice you can actually see what is going on inside the sluice box. This allows you to adjust the box to get the perfect internal operation and fine tune it for optimal performance.
