FAQ: What is the difference between the pro mode and standard mode on the Garrett AT Pro Metal Detector?

Anytime I get a frequently asked question or have something I think people might need an answer to, I try to post about it on our blog and, time permitting, try to make a quick video.

In this video I am showing the difference between the Standard Mode and Pro Modes on the Garrett AT Pro Metal Detector.

For the most part it is an audio thing.

According to Garrett: The AT Pro™ features advanced, proportional (Pro) audio modes. This allows the user to hear subtle changes in a target’s response. Proportional audio also helps the user to better judge a target’s size, shape and depth and has the additional benefit of a much faster recovery time when detecting adjacent targets.

The AT Pro™ also includes three Standard audio modes, which provide a full-strength beep regardless of a target’s amplitude. Many detectorists prefer this simpler, binary (either on or off ) target response.

Proportional Audio response and Tone Roll Audio features allow user to hear subtle changes in target’s response to better judge conductivity, size, shape, and depth.

Hopefully this helps somebody out there. Don't forget to visit our website at www.highplainsprospectors.com for the best deals on metal detectors and metal detecting supplies.
