NEL Tornado 12" x 13" DD Coil for Garrett AT Max Series Metal Detectors

Got a chance to use my Nel Tornado for my Garrett AT MAX once the weather warmed up into the low 70s. I have found a number of quartz gold ore rocks and gold nuggets using the Tornado besides early 20th century farm artifacts such as a historical axe head and old railroad spike where no RR tracks exist. Some finds where at an old home site near Hemby Bridge, North Carolina. While I haven’t found any gold or silver coils or boxes of Civil War gold bars, I am still hopeful and I am extremely satisfied with the purchase of my Tornado and its performance. I absolutely love the Tornado. If your looking for a great coil, the Nel Tornado should be tops on your list for your Garrett AT MAX. .

I received my Nel Tornado for my Garrett AT MAX within a few days of ordering shipped to Charlotte, NC. Cannot wait to get out and use it end of next week when temperatures rise up in the 50s. GREAT COIL LOVE IT

I bought the Tornado as a gift for my husband. He is an avid detectorist and loves watching the Hoover Boys. I knew my husband wanted the same detector head as Curt, so I ended up watching a few videos until I found the make! So High Plains Prospectors, thank the Hoover Boys for my purchase! And it really does a FANTASTIC JOB at hitting targets that are deep!

Got the NEL Tornado a couple of days ago, and it's a great coil. Good depth, good separation of trash to collectibles. The weight difference between the stock 8.5 x 11 coil is not that noticeable. I did notice that the swing speed needs to be slower with the NEL, and the VDI's are possibly a number or two lower. Overall, I feel it was a great addition to the AT Max.
