Regret

I should have gotten one of these years ago. Put a dream mat micro in it and ran old tailings that had already been worked twice. Took 10 minutes to do what my river sluice took 10 hours to do and found 2.3 grams. It has almost paid for itself already just in tailings.

Nice rig for the money

First off,I highly recommend high plains prospectors. Super fast shipping and great prices.
The gold hound high banker is well worth the money and very well made.i want to share a few upgrades that I performed on it. I added deep v ribbed matting to the top of the hopper. This will protect the metal from being abraded over time and will act as a gold indicator .
Just below the classifier screen is a tray ,I cut a piece of rubber backed ribbed carpeting that I can slide into place. This will act as a first gold catch before the material passes through the classifier screen to the box below.directly below is bare metal at the head of the sluice.i removed the thin carpeting which came with the unit and replaced it with rubber backed ribbed carpeting. On top of this I added miner moss.both of these run the entire length of the box acting as a crash pad at the head of the box.the footprint of this unit is narrow, making it a bit unstable for a streamside application.
I decided to mount it atop a longer and wider stand which I already had and added a sluice extension. This provides 72 inches of recovery area and 11 riffles.
Also the box is 6 inches wide, not 5.5 inches, which I was pleased to discover.
Overall very pleased with the purchase.

Gold hound

Just had a chance to run it this evening. Having trouble with water overflow from the upper half any suggestions. It appears the water flow is too much.
