I thought the title would get your attention. Fellow detectors... if I could give a higher rating for the Gray Ghost Headphones, it would be TEN stars !!! I took them out for its' initial test and I thought my hearing had improved, when actually it was the quality of signals I was receiving. Granted, these that I ordered did not have a volume control knob but it would not have been used. The volume was perfect, the tones of the targets were crisp and the price will not hurt you in the pocketbook. I only had a limited time to hunt a High School soccer field (3 hours) but I came away with over $7.00 in clad and a sterling silver ring (625). I know it wasn't the headphones alone, but the quality of target sounds was more clear the the standard issue headphones that came with my detector (Garrett Pro AT). My ultimate test will be taking these headphones underwater to detect when I travel to Mexico in April. 'Til then, I remain a very content and satisfied customer.
