It is an absolutely awesome weeding tool. We've already used it to uproot Baby's Breath, Spotted Knapweed, Ash seedlings, Bladder Campions, Dandelions, and Curly Dock. It's amazing! We’ve been told it’s a great metal-detecting shovel, too! The head is about 70% of the size of the Root Slayer Shovel, making it lighter weight without sacrificing the sharp edges and strength. Non-bending powder-coated carbon steel shaft with a patented durable ergonomic polypropylene grip. Lifetime Guarantee.

Blade Length = 9", Blade Width 7.5" at top of step, Total Length = 39", Weight: 2 lbs. 7 oz., Material: Tempered Mid-Carbon Steel blade, powder-coated carbon steel shaft, and polypropylene grip.

Root Slayer Nomad

Very pleased...

I am new to metal detecting, and I have never used a shovel of this type before. I've only used it three times so far and a VERY pleased with it. The size is perfect. The quality seems solid. I really like the style of the handle (palm-sized and curved). And the price was about 1/2 that of other shovels of this type. - Very happy with this purchase.

Perfect for metal detecting, reasonably priced! Good, solid build.

Great addition to my tools shed!

This root slayer is the greatest! I am a 73 year old master gardener in Virginia. My ability to "dig in the dirt” has been decreasing significantly because of lower back pain. This size of the Nomad is great for me to handle and I can once again move plants as I wish without pain! I plan to buy more for some of my master gardener friends!
