Just when you thought your metal detector couldn't get any lighter, Detect-Ed introduces the Black LS Carbon upper and lower shafts.

This Detect-Ed Land & Sea carbon fiber shaft allows for water to drain quickly when using in and out of water. This Detect-Ed carbon fiber shaft eliminates any wobble associated with connections and multiple pieces. The carbon fiber gives the Equinox the backbone to swing the detector without flex allowing you to sweep your coil through tall grasses, water and other rugged environments.

This Land & Sea Carbon Shaft allows for water to drain quickly when using in and out of water. 

This metal detector shaft includes pre-drilled holes for arm cuff and hand grip on the head unit, a swivel turn, and lock lever system, and stainless steel screws and bolts and a hex key for tightening. Includes stainless steel screws and bolts and a hex key for tightening. This sleek design allows for tightening the lower rod down to eliminate any twist or wobble.

Nice product.

Fit and finish is good. Reduces weight by 4 oz. which may or may not be significant. Haven't been out to try with this pole as winter set in. Not sure why the one with some color is more other than marketing/profit. I'm fine with black as that is what the 800 came with.

Nice addition for the Equinox

Purchased this for my Equinox 600 and so glad I did. It is well constructed and light. I swing the 15” coil a lot in fields and the extra weight of that coil can be tough on the arm after a few hours but with the Detect-Ed carbon fiber shaft, the machine is lighter and I can swing it with much less strain on the arm. The wobble I’ve experienced with the stock shaft is gone as well. I would highly recommend it for those long hunts.

Not sure yet; only been out once since the purchase and instillation

Does not seem as light as advertised. Perhaps if we could buy a lighter arm rest to accompany it! Also, only one option to connect the arm rest; the original had a two hole option!
