David G. Had The Most Epic Day Metal Detecting in Nebraska
One of our recent customers reached out to us to share his success story out of Nemaha, Nebraska. David G. has been a good customer of ours for quite some time. It is always exciting to us when we hear success stories like this.
Dave told us:
"EPIC DAY! My Career Best to date! This is a True Story! Location, location, location, it's all about where you hunt. Using my Minelab Equinox 800, Garrett Carrot, and Lesche Digger all purchased this spring from High Plains Prospectors I was able to experience this EPIC Find in one afternoon. 3 Barber Quarters, 1892, 1899, and 1894 "O", two of the Quarters were in the same hole! 1 Barber Dime, 1899. 2 Indian Head Pennies, 1880, and 1900. 2 Wheat Pennies, 1913 "D", and 1945 "D". The Customer Service, shipping notifications, and delivery time from High Plains Prospectors was excellent."
People ask us all of the time if there is treasure out there to be found. I think this is solid proof there indeed is! Thanks for sharing your story Dave!
Maryland Militia Sword Belt Plate Found in Westminster, Maryland Metal Detecting
Steven C. just submitted this very interesting find. He found this Maryland Militia sword belt plate in Westminster, MD at a relatives property, dating to 1850+/-. The buckles were made in Massachusetts in 1851 for the militia. The original owner of the property fought for the Confederates during the Civil War and retired afterwards.
Steven says, "Everything I used to find it was bought at High Plains Prospectors. I used my Garrett AT Pro, Garrett Carrott, and a White’s Digmaster shovel. It rang up at a solid 92 and was about 9” down. Valued between $5000-$8000. It’s going to be difficult to top that find!!"
Thanks for the submission Steve! Congratulations, you just qualified for a $5 store credit for your submission! You will receive an email shortly with the information you need to redeem it.

Religious Prayer Medallions Found Metal Detecting on Beach in North Captiva Island, Florida
Edward Rogers was on his first beach hunt with the Simplex+ metal detector on North Captiva Island, Florida when he found these "prayer medallions" as seen with safety pin included. The devotional metals depict St. Benedict, Our Lady Fatima, and the Infant of Prague. These amulets are used as a good luck charm and is an object believed to confer protection upon its possessor. Ed thinks one might be silver but not likely of much value. It is a very food find for his first time out.
Ed says, "The detachable sand scoop worked great and it was easy to carry that and the Simplex+ in my suitcase on the plane. Thanks HPP!"
Show Off Your Metal Detecting Finds and Earn Store Credit
We LOVE it when our customers bring their cool and interesting metal detecting finds into our shop to show them off. Heck, we love showing off our finds too! Since not everyone can come in and talk shop, we wanted to open up this option to our great, many customers across the country. And, to sweeten the pot a little, we are now offering $5 in store credit for anyone who submits their find for us to show off to the world.
All you have to do is click the image above, give us your information, upload a photo or two and tell us a little about your find (i.e. where, how, what metal detector you were using, etc.) You can be as detailed or as reclusive as you like but, you have to tell us your story.
The only catch is you can only receive one $5 store credit per month and it has to be used within 12 months of it being issued. So, if you want to submit a find per month from January to December and buy yourself a nice little $60 metal detecting accessory for Christmas - we welcome it!
